Trump gets Coke to change back to its original recipe

Since Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been running the HHS, there has been a big push to get rid of artificial flavorings and colorings.

Trump just put a huge feather in his cap on that front.

According to reports, Coke has agreed to start making its original recipe in the States with real cane sugar.

Changing Over

Coke was invented in 1886 by Dr. John Pemberton.

The very first Coca-Cola was sold at Jacob’s Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA.

In the 1970s, the company started to transition away from using cane sugar in the soda, choosing to go with high-fructose corn syrup instead. It was a notable change, which many believe impacted the flavor.

Although the company does still serve the original recipe in some countries, such as Mexico, it is considered a premium product here, and very hard to find, but that could soon be changing.

The Dangers

There are numerous concerns tied to artificial sweeteners over sugar, including the use of high-fructose corn syrup.

While someone who drinks a soda every now and again would be unlikely to suffer the side effects, those who drink it regularly can impact the liver’s ability to convert fructose to glucose before the body can use it for energy.

Excessive stores can create fatty liver disease, which can lead to diabetes.

There is also the concern of obesity linked to soft drinks, a problem that is raging in this country, especially when you see the number of children who are obese. While it is far from a scientific study, I can tell you flat out that every friend I have who has an obese child, that child consumes soda virtually every day.

Not Anymore

Donald Trump loves his Diet Coke, but now he is trying to help regular Coca-Cola drinkers get the real thing.

Trump stated, "I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so.

"I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!"

He’s not lying. I am a Dr. Pepper Zero guy, but last time I was in Mexico, I tried their Coke, which is made with cane sugar, and it was far better tasting than the Coke we get here in the States. Who knows, maybe this will land Trump a few more voters for those who enjoy a nice, cold Coke instead of a beer after work.
