Currently, ICE is going through California like a hot knife through butter to find illegal immigrants.
As we all know, the rhetoric from the left has picked up, and now it is getting even worse.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is actually trying to interfere in operations, and it is only a matter of time before things start to get really ugly.
With attacks against ICE agents on the rise, National Guard troops and Marines have been ordered to help protect ICE agents while carrying out their duties.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom has taken the Trump administration to court over this, which has only made Border Czar Tom Homan more mission-focused.
As tensions rose, rioting started to break out, with Bass eventually ordering a curfew to be put in place.
At the time, she stated, “We reached a tipping point.” The tipping point being rioters started to loot local businesses.
With California leadership protesting, Trump border czar Homan dug in even deeper.
Homan stated, “The message is clear now that we’re going to continue doing worksite enforcement operations, even on farms and hotels, but based on a prioritized basis. Criminals come first.”
Some of the arrested became poster children for the cause, as a local restaurant manager who crossed the border illegally years ago had been taken into custody, and Democrats plastered his picture all over the place to try to get empathy for him.
If you commit a crime, it does not really matter how much time has passed, you still committed that crime. Trump would argue that restaurant manager's job belongs to a legal citizen or resident, not an illegal immigrant, so he has to go.
On Monday, reports broke that Bass had directly confronted agents who were attempting to conduct a mass raid.
She stated, “What I saw in the park today looked like a city under siege. It’s outrageous and un-American to have armed vehicles in our American parks.”
Border Patrol El Centro Sector Chief Gregory Bovino responded, “The federal government is not leaving LA. … The federal government does not work for Karen Bass. We’re going to be here until that mission is accomplished.”
As I stated before, with public officials now leading this resistance, not to mention the rhetoric, it is only going to embolden the individuals who see it as their mission to stop ICE from apprehending and deporting illegals. Believe me, Dems want this to get bloody, and if this continues, they are probably going to get their wish. This is how they get power back: by sacrificing their supporters to engage and likely lose a battle with ICE and possibly even the military. They are not going to stop pushing until they see a river of blood in the streets that they can then blame on Trump.
