Earlier this week, we reported on the salacious story about Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL).
Mills, who is an Army veteran and endorsed by Trump, is caught in the midst of a nasty sex scandal with his former girlfriend, Lindsey Langston, Miss United States.
While Langston has provided what looks like clear-cut evidence, Mills has hired a lawyer and is insisting he is innocent.
Langston provided text messages, allegedly sent by Mills, threatening to publish compromising videos and photos of her from their time together.
The report stated, “Since February 20th of 2025, Cory has contacted Lindsey numerous times on numerous different accounts threatening to release nude images and videos of her, to include recorded videos of her and Cory engaging in sexual acts.
“The threats were made when Cory believed Lindsey to have other romantic partners in her life after the breakup.”
Needless to say, this is not something Donald Trump can have on his plate right now.
I mention Trump because he was very involved with Mills’ campaign, having backed him for his seat when he ran for the first time.
Trump, about Mills, stated, “Cory has long been a great fighter for our Country, and he is a decorated U.S. Army combat Veteran who has fought bravely all over the World. He has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and has even traveled to Ukraine recently to provide information for USAID and State Department officials.
“When everyone else is running away from the tough fights, Cory Mills is willing to stay back and fight. He loves our Country, loves the Great State of Florida, and he will never let us down. Cory Mills has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”
So, like it or not, Trump and his administration are going to be tied to this scandal.
As we would expect, Mills is denying the allegations, has hired a lawyer, and fired back at Langston.
He stated, “As a general rule, when you’re able to prepare an ex parte injunction — a one-sided attack — you’re going to lead with your absolute best evidence. In this case, the judge fully rejected the accusations and found them insufficient to support any of the allegations.”
Mills believes this was all concocted by his 2022 primary opponent, who also happens to be a spokesperson for Langston, Anthony Sabatini, stating, “Breakups happen, but it’s truly tragic when a washed‑up politician drags someone else into his vendetta. I wish Ms. Langston well and genuine happiness.”
While Mills professes his innocence, the text messages I saw were fairly damning, and I would be surprised if he wins this case. If he is going to go down, I hope he bows out as soon as possible to get this story out of the news cycle before the 2026 midterms. Something tells me he won’t do that, however, and that the GOP and Trump administration are going to pay for his hubris.
