You really do have to love how the media continues to find ways to make excuses for Joe Biden.
The latest example being that of former NBC News anchor Chuck Todd, who was removed from his desk for poor ratings (but more likely because he had a horrible case of TDS).
On his new podcast, The Chuck Toddcast, he is now claiming that Joe Biden’s team purposely set him up.
Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s first presidential debate for the 2024 cycle was oddly early for a presidential election year.
The debate was scheduled for late June, and there was speculation that some in the Democratic Party wanted the debate early to see if Biden was up to the challenge.
The rumors at the time were that if Biden crashed and burned, they would still have time to replace him and put Kamala Harris or someone else into the ring.
As we know, Biden looked like a deer in the headlights all night long, often blankly staring at the camera, giving Trump a huge boost and sinking his campaign.
The line of the night during the debate came from Trump after Biden went off on another odd tangent and started yelling random things.
Trump responded, “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence, and I don’t think he did, either.”
It was a great troll by Trump, and everyone laughed, but it was not really all that funny when you consider this was the man currently sitting in the White House.
That debate sparked the party's shift to Harris, and about three weeks later, Biden withdrew from the race and gifted the nomination to his VP, a move I still believe the GOP should have fought as being unconstitutional.
I honestly believe the debate was scheduled early as a test for Biden, but Todd is seeing it from a different angle, stating, "Look, I will go to my grave believing that the debate was intentional for that," meaning he thought the party plan all along was to replace Biden.
Todd believes there were rogue actors within the administration who saw what was happening and wanted to shine a light on it to expose Biden for what he was... an empty vessel. But, of course, they all denied it.
The longtime pundit explained, "Anita Dunn and Jen O’Malley Dillon will deny it till they’re blue in the face, and if I were in their shoes and I did it, I’d deny it until I was blue in my face, okay?"
Here's the thing... have we gotten to a place in politics where it has become so poisonous that staffers are terrified to tell the truth about a man in office who is not capable of doing the job? All kidding aside, what if a war started when Biden was in office, where he would have been needed for 20 to 22 hours a day? That is no laughing matter. I maintain that when history looks back at the Biden administration, it will find this to have been one of the biggest scandals by a presidency in modern-day history.
