Attorney General Pam Bondi gave everyone hope several months ago that we were finally going to see an Epstein client list.
That hope ended this week, when the DOJ and FBI made a joint statement that no such list exists.
Now MAGA is fuming, and they are asking for Bondi’s head.
In February, Bondi was asked about the Epstein files, including an alleged client list that would expose possible blackmail victims of the pedophile.
Bondi responded, “It’s sitting on my desk right now to review. That’s been a directive by President Trump. I’m reviewing that.”
That statement seemed as clear as it could get, with no spin. There was a list, and it would eventually be released.
With that statement, MAGA was excited that we might finally get to the bottom of all this and see just how deep Epstein had penetrated D.C.
This week, the FBI and DOJ made a joint statement about the alleged list, and it did not make MAGA very happy.
It read, “This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list.’"
The statement added, “There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
The backlash on social media was fast and furious, with MAGA suddenly turning on both Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, saying they were part of the swamp and covering for the people on the list.
It did not get better in the briefing room, as Fox News’ Peter Doocy hit White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt over the claims made by Bondi about the list
Leavitt responded, "She was saying the entirety of all of the paperwork, all of the paper, in relation to Jeffrey Epstein's crimes, that's what the attorney general was referring to, and I'll let her speak for that.”
When the DOJ was asked to respond, it stated, "We've delivered more transparency in 6 months than the Biden administration did in 4 years.”
That is spin, and Bondi painted herself into a corner with her previous statement, so all this spin just makes it worse. You want to know what feeds a conspiracy theory? When you say you have something, then day it does not exist, which now has everyone thinking the conspiracy runs so deep that even Trump is trying to cover it up to protect D.C. insiders.
