Rep. Jasmin Crockett (D-TX) is an attention hound, and now apparently an expert at playing victim.
After months of landing shots at Trump, stealing headlines with outrageous statements, and walking out of Trump’s joint session address, she is getting hit with some negative headlines from former staffers.
So, she has taken the usual tactic of Democrats to defend herself… when in doubt, blame it on racism.
Trump was only in office a few weeks before he was invited to speak at a joint session of Congress, but Crockett had to make the day about her.
Crockett walked out of the address, with the media waiting for her in the hallway to give her some quality media time.
When asked why she walked out, she stated, "He up there, he spewing all kinds of nonsense. We wasn't going to sit for that.
"We occupied our seats as long as we wanted to and then we got out. We are going to fight him tooth and nail and we are going to combat all the lies and we are going to continue to serve the people that even went out and elected him to their own dismay."
When Trump started to engage Trump, she fed off it, calling him such insults as a “buffoon” and a “mofo,” starting her trend of using vile words in her rants against Trump.
When asked about her beef with Trump, she explained, “Dealing with Trump —Trump likes to dog whistle. Essentially, what he’s done is tried to put a target on my back.”
A target on her back? Well, it was not Trump that started the beef, as Crockett has used her insults and comments about Trump to become the darling of the leftist media in this country.
With someone like Crockett, who has completely invented this foul-mouthed, ghetto personality, it is only a matter of time before the truth gets out, and it has, in a big way.
Last week, reports broke of former aides who had less than nice things to say about her. For instance, she was only interested when it meant national coverage for her, was difficult to deal with, and usually did nothing but lie around in her apartment instead of doing her congressional duties.
When asked about the report, Crockett responded, "Listen, goodness, I know that I have arrived, honey.” She continued, "That is the way that I see this. Because as Beyonce says, if they’re not talking about you, then obviously you must not be doing anything."
She then added, "This is just more slander, more nonsense, more lies. You and I were joking before we got on camera about all the scrutiny that comes with being not only woman, but being young, and being a black woman. Yeah, there’s a lot of scrutiny that comes my way, and it comes my way from all different angles."
The scrutiny comes her way because of how she acts, not because of the color of her skin or her age. I had her pegged from the beginning as someone more interested in becoming a TV and social media star than a legislator. It would appear, based on her former staffers, that I was dead on point.
