Over the last few weeks, the House Oversight Committee has been investigating the Biden mental decline.
A handful of Biden officials have been called with mixed results.
Now, the GOP is considering bringing in both Jill and Joe Biden to testify,
Honestly, I think the committee has already gotten more information than I truly expected.
Most of that came from Neera Tanden, a top Biden adviser who had been given authorization to use the autopen, even though she had no idea who actually gave the final approval for documents signed.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) stated, "Ms. Tanden testified that she had minimal interaction with President Biden, despite wielding tremendous authority.
"She explained that to obtain approval for autopen signatures, she would send decision memos to members of the President’s inner circle and had no visibility of what occurred between sending the memo and receiving it back with approval. Her testimony raises serious questions about who was really calling the shots in the Biden White House amid the President’s obvious decline. We will continue to pursue the truth for the American people."
The two people who would have likely had the biggest impact, Anthoney Bernal and Dr. Kevin O’Connor, but took the Fifth when they appeared.
Bernal was a top adviser for Jill Biden, and he is believed to have been a major shot caller during the administration.
O’Connor was Biden’s doctor, but he took the Fifth to protect doctor-client privilege.
Of the two, Bernal’s silence is the most telling because if he had nothing to hide, why not answer Congress’s questions and blow their narrative out of the water?
At this point, the committee is thinking about bringing in Jill and Joe to have a chat.
Comer stated, "Every option's on the table. We're going to try to get answers. We're going to try to do this rapidly.
"We'll decide as a committee what steps to take next and who to bring in. But I think right now every option is on the table."
I love the idea, and it would be quite interesting to get the Bidens under oath to see if they hold their story if they also take the Fifth. I am convinced this is the biggest presidential scandal in modern history, but I am just not sure if we will get the truth before Biden is gone and people open up a bit more. Regardless, I would love to see Comer make this move and subpoena them both to testify.
