RFK joins government purge

Almost as soon as Trump took office, government jobs were being purged, and nobody was safe.

For instance. DNI Tulsi Gabbard fired a couple of staffers almost immediately for alleged leaks, and Sec. of Defense Hegseth fired a couple of longtime friends for the same reason.

Now, RFK Jr. has joined the purge, recently announcing he let two high-ranking officials go.

Tulsi Gabbard

Gabbard had only been in her position a few months when she announced two heads were on the chopping block, and there could be more.

Her office announced the firing of Mike Collins, who was serving as acting chair of the National Intelligence Council, and his deputy, Maria Langan-Riekhof.

After they were terminated, Gabbard’s office stated, “The director is working alongside President Trump to end the weaponization and politicization of the intelligence community.”

I applauded the move, believing we have far too many people in our government who are working against the sitting president rather than supporting him.

Pete Hegseth

Hegseth has had his ax out from day one. And he has continued to purge staff since taking his post.

The former Fox News host let go of several people he recruited as support staff after information was leaked to the media.

Hegseth is also looking to hold his commanders responsible, announcing several officers who had been relieved of duty, including one general who was up for a major promotion.

Hegseth more recently announced a massive reduction in flag staff, believing there was far too much fat at the top of the military food chain based on historical numbers of regular troops to officers, especially when it came to generals and admirals.

RFK Jr.

Kennedy recently removed a few staffers, with Heather Flick Melanson, his chief of staff, and Hannah Anderson, deputy chief of staff of policy, apparently removed.

Kennedy’s office stated, "Secretary Kennedy has made a leadership change within the Immediate Office of the Secretary. Effective immediately, Matt Buckham will serve as Acting Chief of Staff.

"Mr. Buckham currently serves as the Kennedy’s White House liaison at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he oversees the recruitment and onboarding of political appointees across the agency. He brings valuable experience in personnel strategy and organizational management to this new role.”

Flick came to Kennedy with some impressive referrals, including that of General Michael Flynn (ret), a first-term Trump staffer. No information has been given to this point other than Buckham taking over.
