Investigation announced into key players in Trump-Russia collusion hoax

Dating back to former special counsel John Durham's report, conservatives have been waiting for some justice in terms of leadership of the FBI and CIA for having weaponized the government and FISA abuses.

It appears as though justice may finally be arriving.

This week, the FBI announced that it was launching a formal investigation into the heads of both agencies.

The Durham report

Then-Attorney General William Barr appointed Durham as the special counsel to investigate the Russian collusion investigation.

Durham’s report was more than 300 pages, and it blew the lid off the weaponization of the government against Donald Trump.

In part, the report stated, “Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the (Justice) Department and FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report.”

Durham ultimately concluded that the FBI investigation against Trump never should have been ordered.

Trump was framed

Attorney, author, and Fox News contributor Gregg Jarrett recently submitted an op-ed on Fox News, believing that the recent report released by the CIA showed that our government agencies framed Trump.

The blockbuster report showed how then-Director John Brennan dismissed assessments by CIA analysts, instead choosing to use the Steele dossier to go after Trump.

Jarrett wrote, “Comey was aided and abetted by others in the intelligence community, including CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. This malignant force of unelected officials plotted to smear Trump with what is surely the dirtiest trick in political history.”

They knew where the dossier came from and who funded it, yet the dossier was used by both the CIA and FBI to launch the investigation and secure FISA warrants.

Investigation launched

A report broke late Tuesday night that, while not formally announced, the FBI has launched an investigation into Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey.

Not only are the investigations being reviewed, but officials are also examining the alleged lies told before Congress, which are potentially prosecutable. Most notably, the recent CIA report highlighted lies told by Brennan, stating, "Despite these objections, Brennan showed a preference for narrative consistency over analytical soundness."

It went on, "When confronted with specific flaws in the Dossier by the two mission center leaders – one with extensive operational experience and the other with a strong analytic background – he appeared more swayed by the Dossier's general conformity with existing theories than by legitimate tradecraft concerns."

This is monster news, but only if we come away with grand jury indictments. Anything else will have the media spinning the narrative that this is all politically motivated revenge. The left will never believe these charges are legitimate, but if they can get a grand jury indictment, it could pacify the media enough that they will not push the same narrative the Democratic Party will pursue as this investigation plays out.
