California finally requests emergency loans for anti-ICE rioting damage

During the anti-ICE riots in California, rather than declare an emergency and ask Donald Trump for help, Gov. Gavin Newsom and his fellow Democrats acted as though nothing was wrong.

While videos were blowing up all over social media, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) went on live TV to tell Americans there was no violence taking place in L.A.

Now, Newsom has finally caved, asking for disaster loan relief from the Small Business Administration for local businesses that suffered damages during the rioting.

No Violence

The anti-ICE riots in California were eerily similar to the rioting we saw take place around the country in 2020 after the death of George Floyd.

I can still see the report on the mainstream media of “mostly peaceful protests” while streets were literally on fire behind the reporter, looking more like a war zone than an American street.

While these videos were blowing up, Waters dared to tell the American people, “Nobody was shot, nobody was killed, get it into your head. Don’t think that somehow because they called out the National Guard there was violence. There was no violence. I was on the street, I know."

She went on, “And I went from downtown detention back out into the community. What happened in Paramount, what happened in Compton, what happened in Inglewood: Get it straight, and don’t just rely on what you’re being told or the few incidents you saw.”

Manufactured crisis

One would have thought that Newsom would have been ecstatic to have Trump offer to help with disaster relief and the Guard, but the governor, like Waters, ignored the real issue.

Newsom tried to act as though everything was just fine until Trump stuck his nose into the state’s business, stating, “This is him intentionally causing chaos, terrorizing communities, and endangering the principles of our great democracy. It is an unmistakable step toward authoritarianism.”

California Attorney General Rob Bonta added, “The President is trying to manufacture chaos and crisis on the ground for his own political ends."

You have to give Democrats credit. Once they create a narrative and talking points, they stick to it even when it starts to take on water. It's never about the people, it's always about scoring political points.

Uhm, can we get some help?

This week, the Trump administration approved disaster relief funds via the Small Business Administration (SBA) after Newsom finally applied for the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) declaration.

The administration had been waiting on the request, and it was immediately approved, with SBA head Kelly Loeffler stating, "Governor Newsom allowed a mob to rampage Los Angeles -- standing with violent rioters, paid protestors, and criminal illegal aliens over law-abiding citizens.:

She added, “Despite an estimated $1 billion in damage, he refused federal relief for weeks, insisting that the riots were peaceful even as small business owners stood in the rubble.”

The rioting started nearly a month ago, so small businesses were left hanging until the news cycle faded away, and the application would just be a side note for most mainstream media outlets. This will go overlooked by many, but not here. Honestly, if I were running the RNC, that application and the date it was filed would be used as an ad against Democrats with the background of the looting and city streets on fire. The people of this country need to realize that for Democrats, it is always about political points and power, not the people.
