Since the very first day that Joe Biden took office, I warned about the dangers of his open-borders policy.
By the end of Biden’s term, based on historical numbers, I projected that we likely had more than 1,200 possible terrorists in this country.
Sadly, I appear to have been right, as Attorney General Pam Bondi has confirmed that Trump officials are extremely worried about a terror cell being activated as revenge for Trump’s strike against Iran.
On Sunday, DHS published an alert about possible attacks on American soil.
It stated, "Multiple recent Homeland terrorist attacks have been motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel sentiment, and the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could contribute to US-based individuals plotting additional attacks.”
The alert continued that U.S. law enforcement "has disrupted multiple potentially lethal Iranian-backed plots in the United States since 2020" and also warns "the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could also motivate violent extremists and hate crime perpetrators seeking to attack targets perceived to be Jewish, pro-Israel, or linked to the US government or military in the Homeland."
One would hope that Iran would issue a word of caution to anyone considering an attack on our home soil, but terrorists are terrorists. Iran, however, has to know that, sanctioned or not, any attack on American soil would result in hell being unleashed on its country by the United States and our allies in the Middle East.
Bondi was on the Hill this week to testify, and she was asked by Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) about possible attacks.
The AG confirmed my estimate, saying that while the DHS did not have an exact number, more than 1,000 possible terrorists have entered this country, adding, "And I can tell you, we are on high alert, and everyone is looking at that very closely.”
More than 1,000 alleged Iranian criminals entered the country under Biden’s watch. U.S. Border Patrol put that number at 1,504, with roughly half of them being released to the country's interior.
As a reminder that this is not simply rhetoric from the bad orange man’s administration, while Biden was still in office, then-FBI Director Christopher Wray announced the arrest of three men in a murder-for-hire scheme that allegedly originated in Iran, with Wray, at the time, stating, "The charges announced today expose Iran's continued brazen attempts to target U.S. citizens, including President-elect Donald Trump, other government leaders and dissidents who criticize the regime in Tehran.”
While dealing with this threat, Bondi is also dealing with unhinged Democrats intent on having “that moment” on social media, backing a point I made earlier concerning how congressional hearings are nothing more than politicians looking to create a viral moment they can use in their campaigns.
Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), she of the bad blue-dye job, had a meltdown while questioning Bondi about cuts being made to the ATF, refusing to let Bondi address the question asked.
At one point, DeLauro interrupted Bondi, creating her moment, appealing to the Chair, stating, “Mr. Chairman, I’d like an answer to my question. And the question is not being answered.” The congresswoman again interrupted Bondi as she was trying to answer, snapping, “Excuse me, Madame Attorney General. Answer, yes or no. Tell me what the numbers are! I don’t want to hear all of your filibuster about this! Go ahead. Please, tell us the numbers.”
Sadly, this is typical of both sides these days, but the Dems are taking this into overdrive right now, hoping to create viral moments to take the House back so they can impeach Trump to start 2027. It is nothing more than political theatrics.
